Humble Much?!
Doesn’t it suck when people you know become famous. You support and cheer them on before they become as famous. Then they no longer answer their phone or help you out with your own projects?
But on the flip side there are also those people you ask for help when you’re starting out and they don’t want to be involved in your projects. But as soon as they see you’re blowing up they want to be involved.
Or how about those people that only ever want to be involved with someone or something because they know they’ll get a little boost to their own reputation.
This is how I see it. I’ll help out whoever asks for my help. Especially, if I know you’re someone that is working on becoming a better you and/or are trying to help out the community/scene. You don’t have to be famous, but you have to be hustling and not the kind of hustle- by any means necessary.
I won’t help people that didn’t want to lend a hand when I asked for helped. Also any opportunity I get I’m willing to bring people along who were with me from the beginning. Its only fair.
I also won’t lower my standards just to gain a bigger audience. I’m not going to work with people that I know aren’t doing anything to build their community and are all about making money and nothing else. You have to be about creating not just monetizing. There is a difference between selling out and making moves. Everyone wants to make money and be famous, but don’t forget why you started doing what you do. Did you start because you loved it or because you love money?
